REMARKABLE EGGS
Old newspaper cuttings: When an egg laid by a hen belonging to Mrs Haynes, of Stretford Bridge, Herefordshire, was broken it was found to contain a penny. The coin was bright, but the egg was discoloured. An extraordinary egg has been .laid by ar. ordinarv cross-bred hen belonging of Mr J. E. Brown, a farmer, or Ashley -Green, Hertfordshire _ The egg weighed 7£ ounces, and contained a second egg ir side. A perfect egg, even tc the shell.
