Death in a lonely house on the shores of Lake Roto Elm overtook Muriel Ida Angell, a married woman, some times between 8.30 a.m. on Saturday and 5.30 p.ni. on Wednesday evening. Her little daughter, 2J, years old, was found asleep beside her when her husband made the tragic discovery on Wednesday evening. The child was well, but- evidently had been crying and had not been able to obtain food.
’The child was too young to be able to tell the sail tale of the lonely death which had overtaken the unfortunate mother. When discovered by her bushand .Mrs Angell was lying upon the bed 1 silly dressed. The body disclosed no signs of violence. The husband had felt home at 8.30 on Saturday morning and did not return till after dark on Wednesday.
'Plie house is situated in a very lonely spot Oil the shores of the lake, the nearest neighbour being three miles away, which probably accounts for the death remaining undiscovered. The police are investigating the circumstances.
