ANOTHER REVOLT RAID ON PALACE ATTEMPT TO SEIZE SOCIALIST MINISTERS (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) SANTIAGO, 16th June. Chilean army officers attempted to seize) Colonel Marmaduko Grove and leading members of the Socialist Government on Thursday night in an outburst of lighting around the Government palace. • The raid was inspired by a desire to maintain national Socialism divested ol Communists.
Officers said Grove eluded them while rebellious troops marched toward the city to assault the palace. The rattle of machine guns and firing was heard in the distance, while aeroplanes with attacking forces flew overhead. There was a lull in the disorders near midnight.
