WAGES IN AUSTRALIA
REDUCTION ORDER APPLICATION FOR ABOLITION, REFUSED (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) SYDNEY, 17th June. The Federal Arbitration Court refused an application by industrial organisations for the abolition of the Court’s order of January, 1931, directing a 10 per cent, reduction in award wages, on the ground that general abrogation at present would bo detrimental. The matter, however, could be revived at the end of the present year.
