NAPIER WOOL SALES SMALL OFFERING PRICES UP SLIGHTLY 'By Telegraph—Press Association) NAPIER. This Day. A disappointing offering as far as quantity v.-as concerned, and prices up to id better than those ruling at the Wanganui sale earlier in the week, were the outstanding features of the fifth and final wool sab; of the season at Napier vosterday. Only 3764 bales wore actually submitted to buyers. The smallness of the quantity no doubt was due to the fact that sellers were not willing to meet the market at the prices ruling at the prosent time, while many ol those who gave instructions for wool to conic before buyers, found their reserve prices too high for buyers, with the result that a considerable quantity was passed. The range of prices was as follows: - Southdown average, s£d to 61(1. Medium hali'bred—average 6 l-4d to 7.U1. Coarse halflwd average 4jjd to Cd.
