FIRST CHARGE ON UNEMPLOYMENT FUND
WORK FOR BREADWINNERS (From “The Mail’s” Parliamentary Reporter) WELLINGTON, 3rd March. In reply to Mr A. S. Richards (Labour, Roskill), the Right Hon. J. G. Coates said that the first charge on the unemployment fund was to provide work for breadwinners who were out of work, and no general instruction could be given for youths under 20 to be assisted out of the fund in advance 1 f able-bodied men who were unemployed.
