TEN MILES A PENNY

A new motor fuel shortly to bo placed on Ute market will, it is claimed, reduce travelling costs to ten miles a penny, and will tning employment to 100,000 out-of-work miners.

The fuel is small coke which geueiates gas in an apparatus mounted on the running board of the vehicle. The apparatus has been inspected by representatives of tlie War Office, Ministries of Agriculture and Mines, the Fuel Research Board, and tho London General Omnibus Company. Mr N. Clarke Jones, the inventor of the apparatus, told a "Sunday Express” representative that tests with a ton lorry had been satisfactory.

“The lorry travelled eighty miles at thirty miles an hour before the fuel rail out,” he said. “The cost of the journey was eightpence.”
