MUNGANA CASE
PROGRESS OF HEARING (United Press Association—By Electrlo Tolegraph—Copyright) BRISBANE, sth August, In tlio course of the Mungami action, Mr McGill, counsel for the Crown, read answers by defendants to the Crown’s interrogatories. Goddard admitted that Reid had allotted 1250 shares in Mungaua Minos Limited to him in “consideration of the friendship, advice,, and assistance which Goddard had given him in mining undertakings.’’ McCormack admitted that his interest in the Mungana mines began in December, 1917, under a verbal agreement with Reid. McCormack received .1110,590 for his 3476 shares, which was paid to the company by tho Queensland Government. Mr McGill also tendered answers by McCormack showing that he paid various substantial stuns to Theodore between Apiil, 1922, and July, 1925, the largest of which was LI GOO. Theodore did not give receipts. Theodore in turn confirmed the receipt of these sums. The ease was adjourned.
