The Minister of Public Works recognises the urgency of the matter and is prepared to authorise the items for expenditure in anticipation of the roads estimates being approved by Parliament. The usual stipulations of the Public Works Department regarding approval of plans and specifications by the District Engineer will of course have to be complied with.
The Hon. Air Atmore and Mr Ilealy are making further representations to the Alinister of Public Works regarding the repair of the Alahakipawa bridge.
