BISHOPS' PROTEST
AGAINST WOMEN’S SPORT BERLIN, 22nd July. Holding that women’s athletic meetings are harmful to morals, eight Bavarian bishops have issued a manifesto protesting against a women’s gymnastic tournament at Memmingen. I hey state that they are not against women’s sport, but- “against the unnatural mutation of male gymnastics The undignified exhibition of women often contrary to morality always contains tho danger of affecting the moral sentiments ot tho onlookers. ’
