UNEMPLOYMENT TAX
UNCERTAINTY IN AGRICULTURAL DISTRICTS Considerable doubt exists ill agricultural communities as to the basis on which the emergency unemployment charge of 3d in the £ will be collected on tile incomo of fanners. The Unemployment Board has not yet intimated what the method of assessment will be. The Hon. S. G. Smith has stated that the method of assessment has not been decided upon, but that regulations will shortly be issued setting out the position.
