It is now revealed that Flight-Captain Monti, who was killed on Lake Garda, was flving one of two new Fiat machines capable of' 400 miles per hour, and specially constructed for the Schneider Cup competition. Salvage efforts have proved fruitless. Tlie machine is lying at a depth of 300 feet
