FLOW OF OIL

MOTUROA NO. 2 BORE' (By Telegraph—Proas Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, 3rd August. On Sunday night, gas pressure dislodged the bridge at the No. 2 Moturoa well, blowing up fifty barrels of oil from the 2080 feet level. The control bead is now closed against high pressure gas. Following a powerful blow-out of oil and inflammable gas at the Moturoa Oilfields No. 2 well yesterday, production tests were made to-day. The well was connected to a 100-barrel tank and by self-flow the tank was half filled in the short time before the well was closed.

The B£in casing is still full of oil, estimated to contain another 100 barrels, making 150 barrels the total flow. Several flows made a spectacular display.
