ROBBERY WITH VIOLENCE (By Telegraph—Press Association) AUCKLAND, 3rd August. _ Tu Whakarai-a, alias Tom Ngatai, was sentenced to. five years’ hard labour to-day by Mr Justice Herdman for robbery with violence. Tlie Judge said that it was a most serious crime. The accused had tied up an old man and then robbed him. CIGARETTE COUPONS CASE
WELLINGTON, This Day. In the Supreme Court a verdict of not guilty was returned in the case in which Arthur Hey and Ernest Thomas Mace Humphrey were charged with receiving cigax-ette coupons valued at £lO5 8s and £65 10s respectively.
