ENGLISH DOCTOR TO LECTURE IN ROME (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 19th June, 11.45 a.m.) LONDON. 18th June. Dr. Marie Stopes, President of the Society for Constructive Birth Control, has accepted an invitation from Signor Mussolini to lecture in Rome on birth control. Dr. Marie Stope’s invitation as cabled is featured in evening papers, and appears to be a hoax. Dr. Stopes, interviewed, affirmed that she had def’mitly received the invitation. The “Daily Telegraph’s” Romo correspondent, however, cabled: “The invitation is a hoax. If she confirms it she herself lias been hoaxed.” Tho correspondent adds that any such action would be illegal in Italy.
