NO DISMISSALS OF BREAD WINNERS

In an article which appeared in “The Press” last- week the question was raised whether the appeal of a married woman teacher against her dismissal l>y an Education Board might not be sustained by the Court of Appeal as constituted in Part XL of the Education Act. “I think the whole matter is pretty well safeguarded by the clause in the Finance Act which holds that the dismissal of a teacher must bo made with the consent ami approval of the Senior Inspector, who is an oflicer of the Department,” said the Minister for Education (the Hon. 11. Atinore) when this question was referred to him by the •'Press” at Christchurch.
