BRISBANE CIVIC ELECTIONS
LABOUR SUCCESSES (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 4th May, .45 a.in.) BRISBANE, This Day. The city council elections for twenty wards resulted in the defeat of several Nationalist Party candidates, Labour candidates being the most successful. The parties now stand: Labour 8, Civic Reform 0, Nationalist Citizens 3, NonParty 3.
