Rouse’s appeal on the ground, that the verdict was against the weight of evidence, was dismissed. Sir Patrick Hastings, K.C., for Rouse, asserted that the conviction rested onl> on prejudice. The Court was five minutes in reaching its decision. Rouse was unnerved and broke down and wept, and bis wife collapsed.
