REVOLT IN PERU

LIMA, 20th February.
An attempted revolt was the work of fifty adherents of the former President, Senor Leguia, who attacked the palace at dawn. The guards repulsed them, and the insurrectionists retired to. the Fort of Real Felipe, in the City of Callao. There they were besieged by the Seventh Regiment, who captured the fort at noon, killing five. Both cities were greatly excited, and troops are parading the Plaza.
SIXTY KILLED
LIMA, 20th February. Approximately sixty persons were killed in to-day’s abortive revolt. They comprised 40 loyalists and 20 rebels.
