WAITAKI WORKS
POWER FOR DUNEDIN
(By Telegraph—Press Association) DUNEDIN, 19th February. The City Council approved of a recommendation by its electrical power committee that an agreement be entered into with the Government for lie supply of bulk power for Dunedin from the Waitaki hydro-electric works. This entails the deferring of the construction of two power stations at the council’s works at Waipori for eight years It will also probably mean a cessation at 70 feet of work on the dam at Waipori commenced with the intention of taking it to 110 feet.
