FATAL FALL
WIRE HOLDING PLATFORM SNAPS (By Telegraph—Press Association) WELLINGTON This Day. Falling down 100 feet, W. J. Compton, a rigger, working upon the new Wellington East Post Office. Cambridge Terrace, was so seriouslv injured yesterday that he later succumbed. He was working on a platform at the top of the column shortly before 1 o'clock yesterday afterlioon when the accident happened, Without any warning the wive held ing the platform snapped and Compton was flung downwards, unable to clutch at anything to stay his fall earthwards. He crashed into the foundation wall more than 100 feet below
