Asked if the Government had made further representations to Liberia on the League Commission’s report, Mr Henderson said that they were not necessary. The council set up a committee to examine how best to assist the Liberian Government. He was chairman of the committee, which was meeting in London on the 2(Sth. In reply' to a question regarding shipping slaves in the Red Sea, Mr Henderson said that two naval sloops were stationed there to prevent slave traffic from Africa to Arabia. Otherwise no steps had been taken recently, (but the question was under consideration. It was Imped shortly to make a statement on information on the subject of slavery to be furnished by the League in accordance with the Assembly resolution.
