■ Arc there negroes in Tahiti'/ The Soviet press includes Tahiti in the field of activities of the "Rod and Black" International Negro Committee, formed as a result of the world negro congress held at Hamburg in July, says the Riga correspondent of tho "Times." The committee's ■ task is to intensify the work of tho Rod International among the negro masses of Africa and America, spread class warfare to counteract the "chauvinism of the whites," and establish negro sections of revolutionary organisations. The Soviet asserts that the Red International has done much work in the past two years in British and West Africa and 'the West Indies. It has produced strikes and revolts in Durban, Johannesburg, Rhodesia, the Belgian Congo, French Equatoiial Africa, Nigeria, and Tahiti, as wnll as negro unrest in the United States.
