SEGRAVE'S HOPES
LAND, SEA AND AIR RECORDS
(Received 16th June, 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, 15th June. " It is revealed that Segrave cherished tho hope of gaining speed records for land, sea, and air, but his death frustrated the last-named, for which hehad been negotiating with the Air Ministry to purchase or loan one of the Schneider seaplanes. At the opening of the inquest the coroner said: "Some may think that this is a life which has been recklessly thrown away. There may be something in that." v
After formal identification the inquest was adjourned,
REGRET IN AUSTRALIA MELBOURNE, 14th June. 0. R. Segrave is at present on holiday in Melbourne with his wife. He is a brother of Sir Henry Segrave. ADELAIDE, 15th June. Sir Henry Segrave's famous Golden Arrow is on view at the Adelaide Motor Show. News of his death has caused profound regret.
