LOSS OF A FREIGHTER
CLAIM AGAINST UNION COMPANY

MELBOURNE, 31st May
Advices from London state that action lias commenced in the Admiralty Court on. behalf of the owners of the Norwegian freighter Selje against the Union Steam Ship Company for damages arising out of the loss of the Selje in a collision with the Kaituna off the Victorian Coast in March, 1929. The Marine Court’s inquiry found the Kaituna to blame. The amount claimed is understood to be £500,000.
