PARIS, 301,1 1 May. In the C|uarler-fimds of the French tennis championship singles, Re Morpni'go (Itnlv) beat Moon (Australia), 6-2, 6-2. 1 4-6, 2-6. 6-3.
Corbet bent Hopman, 6-1. 2-6, 6-3, 6-3, Tilden bent Rogers (Ireland), 6-1, 6-1, 7-5. Bomtra beat Gregory (England), 6-4. 6-4. 6-3.
Moon pulled on! a monkey muscle in bis left leg during the match against the Italian, and at the finish was scarcely able to move about the court. A doctor examined the leg, and it- is feared that Moon will be unable to play for a fortnight. If there is any doubt of his fitness for the Davis Cup match against England, Hopman and Willard will play in the doubles and Hopman and Crawford in the singles.
SEMIFINAL RESULTS PARIS, 31st May. In the tennis semi-finals Tilden beat Borotra 2-6, 6-2, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3; Corbet beat Morpurgo 7-5, 6-1, 6-2. CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL MRS WILLS-MOODY DEFEATS MISS JACOBS (Received 2nd June, 9.45 n.m.) PARIS, Ist June. In Hie tennis championship final Mrs Wills-Moody beat Miss Helen Jacobs 6-2, 6-1, thus winning the title for the third successive year.
DAVIS CUP LONDON, 31st May. Advice from Schevoningen stated that in the Davis Cup tennis Kozeluh and .Men/.el (Czeclio Slovakia) beat Dimmer and Diemerkool (Holland) 7-9, 6-2, 6-1.
