PARIS, 29th May. In the fourth round of the singles Hopmari beat Lee (England) 6-3, 6-0, 6-4; Moon beat Klenschroth (Germany) 2-6, 6-2, 6-4., 6-0.

At tennis* in the fourth round Morpurgo (Italy) beat Cocn (America); Tilden (America) beat Hughes (England); Borotra. (France) beat Ohta in five sets matches. MORPURGO DEFEATS MOON (Received 31st May, 9.35 a.m.) PARIS. 30th May. At tennis, in the quarter final, de Morpurgo (Italy) beat Moon 6-2, 6-2, 4-6,2-6,6-3. DAVIS CUP THIRD ROUND AMSTERDAM. 30th May. In the third round of the Davis Cup match, played at Scheveningen, Timmer (Holland) beat Kozeluh (Czechoslovakia) 6-1, 6-3, 6-1; Menzel (Czechoslovakia) beat Diemcrkool 6-2, 6-3, 6-2. WELLINGTON, This Day

The New Zealand Tennis Association has received no reply to the invitation to South Africa to send a team to New Zealand. It considers that New Zealand cannot finance a tour without assistance from Australia, but the latter does not consider that Africa will be a sufficient draw.

It was suggested at a meeting of the council that a Japanese team might be invited, and this found favour. The recent visit of the Australian team resulted in a net profit after refunding small losses on some games, of £53. It was reported that Auckland did better than any other centre.
