VISIT TO TIN MINE

RUGBY, 30th May. The Prince of Wales to-day went down a 400 feet deep tin mine in Hclston, in Cornwall. Wearing overalls, he was taken down the shatt in a cage worked! by /electricity 'and walked through the workings of the mine, having to stoop in places to negotiate tunnels. Tho process of excavation and extraction of tin from the ore was explained to him. As Duke of Cornwall the Prince draws revenue from the tin mines of his duchy, and he was very interested in all he saw.
