A MADE BEAUTY SPOT PROTEST AGAINsTtREE-CUTTING ' Strong protest has been made against, the City Council's action in.cutting' down cabbage trees in the upper portion of Trafalgar street south. Further ;tcrwards the town trees have' been cut out here and there and while a certain extent of trimming, as the trees grow, is usually necessary, it is felt that the, i very greatest care should be exercised in this matter. .. -'-• Nelsonians generally look upon the locality in question as one of the best' beauty spots' in the city. They realise that the native trees planted years ago are responsible for most of the charm and they look with the greatest dis-" favour on, 1 any action which might interfere with this treasured public possession.
