DELHI, 29th May. Later accounts emphasise the unbelievable ferocity of the. Rangoon mobs. All the! Indians combined against the Barmans, who retaliated by looting Indian shops and massacring Indian women and children.
Finally the Cameron Iliglilanders and police established a cordon round the disordered area. Casualties aro estimated at 52 dead and a thousand injured, of whom 80 are not expected to survive.
