ARCTIC EXPLORATION
SUBMARINE FOR WILKINS (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 30th May, 10 a.m.) WASHINGTON, 29th May. The Navy Department has agreed to turn over to Sir Hubert Wilkins an obsolete submarine for Arctic explorations. The Assistant Navy Secretary, Mr Jalincko, advised Wilkins’ representative, to apply to the Shipping Board for the discarded submarine 012. The Navy Department is turning the vessel over to tho board for transference to Wilkins.
