DEATH OF LORD ASHTON
"RICHEST MAN IN BRITAIN" (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, 27th May. The death occurred to-day of Lord Ashton, aged 88 years. He was a wealthy manufacturer and was reputed to be the richest man in Britain. He distributed large sums to charities, mainly in his native Lancashire.
