PALME RSTON N., This Day. A conference of local bodies is being held to-day _to consider the boundaries of a regional planning area having Palmerston North as the focal point. A large number of delegates met the committee set up by the Town Planning Board to tour the dominion to hear evidence and determine the constitution of regional planning areas. Addressing the conference Mr M'awson, Director of Town Planning, said regional schemes were not going to involve heavy expenditure. Surveys only were provided for the cost of preparation being definitely limited to a small levy on contributing local bodies.
