HONOUR FOR SIR DOUGLAS MAWSON

The biennial congress'of the Association for the Advancement of Science opened. It was announced that the Muller Memorial Medal this year had been awarded to Sir Douglas Mawson, in appreciation of his contribution to geological and geographical science.
