(Received 10th April, 9.25 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The Government’s scheme to impose a levy on wages and salaries is estimated to return between two and three million sterling a year. It has not yet been' decided what the rate will be, but Ministers have suggested that 2d or 3d in the pound be imposed, with a larger rate on larger salaries.
