W.E.A. CHICLE IN NELSON
A meeting of all those interested in Hie, formation of a Workers' Educational Association in Nelson, was held in the Institute lust evening. Mr I?. •Mitchell-who was voted >to the chair read correspondence he had received from Canterbury College, explaining the reason for Hie scheme, giving details of it ;md suggestions as i,o running il. There was also enclosed a lecture on circuit. The lecture was destined for Kichlliond, and it. was suggested Hint the Nelson circle, if formed, should come in on Richmond's itinerary. The standard course is the study of a period through its .Music, Art, Literature and Drama. When Hie N ciielos .1 lecture with its accompanying plates had been scanned it was agreed to form a circle in Nelson.
Tlie meeting was thrown opm.for dis cussion.
It was explained that it was intended to he free adult education. Mr W. Sutch was elected as i.'-id.T of the circle, and Mr C. C. Wood secretary.
