Y.H.L. BOX OPENING AT PAKAWAU
A very pleasant afternoon was spent by the parents and pupils of the Pakawau School on the occasion of the opening of the Barnardo boxes for the year. Mr 11. Wood (local secretary) gave I'm address on the founding of the Homes and the work being carried on. The box collection amounted to £4 0s V 2 d. This is the first box-opening in Pokawau mid as there iro only 8 Y.H.L. members shf amount is very gratifying A prize donated by Mrs Bay was presented to the member having the highest box collection. Afternoon tea provided by the ladies brought an enjoyable afternoon ! o a close.
