COAL TROUBLE
THE ROTHBURY RIOTS (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) SYDNEY, 28th March. The Full Court made absolute a rule nisi prohibiting the police from proceeding further on the conviction of George Gill and seventeen other men who were alleged to have been concerned with disturbances at Rothbury in December last. The grounds on winch the application was granted was that the Magistrate at West Maitland, who heard all the cases together, had no jurisdiction to do so.
