WEDDING
DAVIS—"WELLS A prcttv wedding took place at SI. Alban's-Church, Appleby, which hud been beautifully decorated for the occasion, when llubv May, eldest diurghtor of Mr A. V. Wells of Appleby was married to William John, younger son of Mr W. Davis of Groytown. Tin! bride, who was given away by her father, wore a pretty dress ol beigecoloured crepo-de-ehino Irimmeil with hillc laco together with a beautifully embroidered veil held in place with orange blossom. The bridesmaid was Miss Joan Wells, sister of the bride, who was tastefully attired in a dress of powder blue crope-do-chine, both she and the bride carrying bouquets lo lone with their dresses. Mr Neil Herd of Tasmau capably filled the oflice of best man, the ceremony being performed by the Rev. F. J. Dayncs, vicar of the parish.
At lire conclusion of the ceremony about sixty guests attended a reception at the home of the bride's parents, where the usual toasts wore duly honoured, after which the happy couple left for a short, honeymoon before proceeding lo their future home at Tasmau.
