MONEY MINE'S! PRESIDENT'S HANDICAP (By Telegraph—Special to "The Mail") CHWSTCHURCH, This Day. Topcre was installed a two hundred ticket better favourite than Money Mine for the President's Handicap, from which Meadow Lark. Master Clarence, King Balboa and Waving Corn were Withdrawn. Night Lad tool; charge shortly alter the start, and soon opened up a gap from Mount Boa and Money Mine, with 'Topcre and Taboo bringing up the rear. Night Lad held his advantage rounding the far turn, but gradually weakened approaching tho straight. Money Mine forged to tho front when straightened up for home and although momentarily challenged by Topcre inside the distance he recorded an easy win by two lengths. Topcre was four lengths in front of Mount Boa and there was a gap to Taboo and Night Lad. Money Mine won well. Topcre was slow in moving off and was blocked a couple of limes when making his run. He finished on satisfactorily, but at the same time he did not seem to be going right at any stage, and was probably feeling the effects of his Waimate effort. Night Lad closed up quickly and can be classed as the disappointment of the season.
