PAYMENT OF RATES-A SUGGESTION
(To the Editor)
Sir. —As a great many of the ratepayers have been up against the hard times since the earthquake, I should like to ask the City Council and members through your paper if we could get one month's extension. It is only a short time since the holidays, and many have had a. hard time the last six months, and I. think if this could be done, it would he a great help. If they could see their way clear to do so, many of us would be able to get paid up bv them.—l am, etc. HARD UP. Nelson. 3rd February.
