JOHN'S (Newfoundland), 4th Dec. ) Another Newfoundland disaster is i feared, silence continuing to conceal the' I fate of 70 persons, including four women, aboard nine missing vessels which left on Friday for lionavista ports. Searching steamers have reported no success. The hurricane which overtook the vessels after they had landed their summer catch of fish and loaded winter ! supplies wrecked at least three other schooners whose crews were rescued. A number of steamers fought the storm oil' the coast for five days and burned all their woodwork when fuel was exhausted. The Norwegian steamer licit ha was towed into port to-day reporting that three pilots had been drowned oil' the headlands when the pilot boat capsized as they were attempting Li board the Hertha. One pilot was saved.
