TRACHEOTOMY
TWO REMARKABLE CASES REPORTED FROM CONTINENT (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Australian Press Association) .'Deceived 11th April, 9.10 a.m.) LONDON, lath April. Two remarkable cases of tracheotomy were reported almost simultaneously from the Continent. Hansen, an a'tisan fit Copenhagen, who was choking with a piece of crust in. his throat, had the presence of mind to make a pocket-knife incision in his throat, which enabled hun io breathe until a,sutgeon removed the obstacle. The other case came from Budapest. Professors Balint and Pollachek, the latter a noted throat specialist, were cci.'vorsing, when the former took a fit under which he was suffocating. Professor Pollachek made an incision in his throat with a pen-knife and saved his life.
