ACCESS VIA LEWIS PASS MOTOR ROAD URGED ifij- TelagrapJi—Prsaa Association! REEFTON, 30th March. A large and representative gathering of citizens met the Canterbury delegation at Maruia Springs yesterday, and motored them to Reef ton, where a meeting was held last nigh: attended by Greymouth, Buller, Murehison, Reefton, Ainuri, and Christchurch citizens. The following resolution was passed unanimously: "That this meeting of.representatives from Canterbury and West Coast affirms the .national importance of the speedy construction of a motor road between Canteroury and the West Coast by way of Lewis Pass, and that the Government be urged to have the work undertaken immediately and carried out without delav."
1: was further resolved that copies of the resolution be sent to representatives of Parliament for Motueka, Buller, Westland, Nelson, and Marlborough.
