Ames, were interviewed at the latter's home' at Syracuse. Ames states that he will give Cook a t-vo weeks' training campaign, after which he will meet the Canadian heavyweight Larry Gai.is, 15.4, Et Toronto, in a ten-round bout. Ames then plans a series of other fights with the object of matching Cook again with Uzcucluii. Cook, referring to the European tour, said: "There is; no great heavyweight prospects on the Continent. Fighters are few and far between there." TOM HEENEY NEW YORK, 28th March. Tom Heeney, who has been undergoing treatment in the local hospital for anemia, and an infected lip, is reported to be making favourable progress and it is expected that he will shortly leave the institution. Tom Loughran, light-heavy-weight champion, gained the decision over Mickey Walker, the middleweight champion, in ten rounds.
