CANTERBURY WOOL
NEW SEASON'S CLIP (By Telegraph-Special to "The Mail") CHRISTCHTJRCH, This Day. Wool is now coming forward to'the Christchurch stores for the first sale on 3rd December. The quantity received so far, however, is not equal to the quantity received by this date Inst season. At the first sale held at Christchurch last season on 30th November there was an offering of 14,000 bales, but unless the wool comes in very quickly during the next week, it is doubtful 'whether this total will be reached at the coming sale. Generally, the wool received in Christchurch is opening up in good condition. It is sound and well grown. Some of the plains wool however, is rather dusty. This is apparently due to two things—firstly, the fact that a lot of sheep were Fqd on turnnips irudg 1? ishrdluyf fed on turnips during the winter and spring months, and secondly, to the fact that nor'-westers have been rather prevalent for so early in the season.
