PEACE LIKELY TO LAST

Mr Bridgeman, First Lord of the Admiralty, at the Institute of Journalists' dinner, chilled those declaring that the peace to which all looked forward ten years ago was not even now assured. "There are apparently many people who do not enjoy a good thing when they get it. I should like to say thank God we've got peace that is likely to last." He confirmed that he was shortly retiring from Parliament.
