SYDNEY, 11th November. . Squadron-Leader Kingsford-Smith and Flight-Lieutenant Ulm have planned a trial mail passenger service on an elaborate scale between Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, commencing after their visit to America. In addition, they will manufacture aircraft for defence and civil purposes, and also probably commence air services from Brisbane to New Guinea and Melbourne to Hobart. They favour triple-engine machines with eight to fourteen passenger capacity, of a type similar to the Southern Cross. They anticipate covering the journey from Melbourne to Brisbane in about fifteen hours.
