EMPIRE THEATRE: THREE ATTRACTIONS

"The Relay/' Chapter 7 of "The Collegians" is the third attraction on this star programme. The plans are at Cull's arid the Theatre. Two special comedies will be shown on Wednesday and Thursday. Wallace Beorv and Raymond Hatton in "Fin-man. Save My Child" is the chief feature. A. special matinee will be held at 2.30 on Wednesday for tin's picture. Tin' second comedy is "Private Iz'/.y Murphy.'' REGENT— COWBOY BAND On Saturday night the world-famed Canadian Cow bo v Band, under the direction of Fred May fie Id was given the must enthusiastic reception ever heard m the new Regent by a capacity house. This talented combination of 9 talented musicians playing in all :S7 instruments ranging from' the classics to modern jazz is probablv the finest of its kind that has ever visited New Zealand. The band is plaving a limited season, concluding on Wednesday night. Hundreds of disappointed patrons were turned away on Saturday night. Those who wani. to hear something well above the ordinary should take the opportunity of visiting the Regent in the next three nights.
