LARRIKIN TYPE
YOUTH SENT TO GAOL
(By Telegraph—Press Association)
PALMERSTON N., This Day
"It's no use whatever giving this youth a chance. He is somewhat of the larrikin type, lies profusely, and is apt to get into mischief all the time. He is evidently out to have as gay a life as he can." This was the description applied by Senior-Sergeant Whitehouse to Alt'. John Buhek (19) when charged with converting a car and driving it to Foxton. He was seen by the owner's brother, and a smart arrest was effected. Accused, who was recently released from a Borstal institution, received a month's imprisonment with hard Tabour. He left the dock smiling.
